For individuals

The grand tour of Saint-Lazare Cathedral (2 hours)

A guide will take you on a tour of this jewel of the Cluniac Romanesque style. You'll learn all about this edifice, built from 1120 onwards and famous for its sculpted decoration by Gislebertus. Its role as a pilgrimage church and its architecture are a must when exploring Autun in the Middle Ages. Does not include a visit to the Treasury.

The essentials of Saint-Lazare Cathedral (45 mins)

A guide will show you all the essential aspects of this Romanesque and Gothic cathedral, built in 1120 to welcome pilgrims around the relics of Lazarus. Does not include a visit to the Treasury.

Services and visiting conditions

  •  During ceremonies, access is via the Gislebertus enclosure
  • Assistance dogs on leashes are permitted
  • Strollers are permitted
  • Photography without flash is permitted
  • No luggage storage is available within the monuments
  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the site, both inside and outside the monument. Pursuant to Decree No. 2025-582 of June 27, 2025, relating to smoke-free spaces, outdoor public spaces where children and adolescents may be present or exposed, particularly public parks and gardens, become smoke-free spaces.
